He started his carrier in 1956.
He was Singer, songwriter, dancer, bandleader, record producer.
Like Rock, Metal, Black Metal is from Elvis, Disco, Hip Hop, Rap is from James Brown.
He has 50 million - 75 million records world wide.
He is known as "Godfather of Soul", "King of funk" and "The Hardest Working Man in Show Business".
Micheal Jackson is James Brown's rip off.
After all he was good guy, he was present in Elvis' funeral.
He was died in December 25, 2006.
He said :-
"I wasn't just a fan, I was his brother. He said I was good and I said he was good; we never argued about that. Elvis was a hard worker, dedicated, and God loved him. Last time I saw him was at Graceland, We sang 'Old Blind Barnabus' together, a gospel song. I love him and hope to see him in heaven. There'll never be another like that soul brother."
