Elvis has sang almost every genere which were popular or un popular, He had sang all genere(s) like Rock and roll, Rockabilly, Rock music, Rhythm and blues, Country rock, Gospel, Ballads and Pop songs. He has sang about 800 - 850 songs, you can see the list from here. Yeah some of 50 - 100 songs of him are originally sung from other but elvis version owns.

Elvis Presley had great versatile voice, there are many peoples who tried to copy his singing, but they didn't achieved anything special.

Elvis Presley had sang his first song on 3 Oct 1945 in an singing contest of Mississippi-Alabama Fair & Dairy Show because his teacher Mrs. J.C. Grimes had suggested to him. He had sang Red foley's "Old Shep", He was too short so he had stand on chair to reach the mic. He had got 2nd rank, $5 and a free ticket to enjoy all rides.

On his 11th brithday(1946) his parents had gifted him a guitar which was bought by his mother from a electronic store.

In 1953 Elvis Presley gone to Sun recordings for recording "That's When Your Heartaches Begin" with "My Happiness" supposedl a present to his mother , his itroduction with there assistant was like this :-

assistant :- what can you sing?
Elvis :- I can sing anytype of song.
assistant :- whom do you sounds like?
Elvis :- I don't sounds like anybody.

On 4th January 1954 he had cut a second acetate. The own of sun recording Sam Philips had needed some good talent who can deliver good black music and boogie woogie music, kiesker reminded him about that young truck driver(elvis). She called elvis on June 26, 1954,Elvis was not able that he can do justice to the song. Sam Phillips invited some local musicians Winfield "Scotty" Moore and Bill Black to audition elvis. They were not so impressed but they planned a studio session.

Elvis Presley began with "Acting the fool" first and "That's all right mama", Philips had got the sound for what he was looking for. The group also recorded "Blue Moon of Kentucky". "Thats all right mama" was aired on 8th July 1954, Listeners begin jamming the phone lines, and they were eager to find the singer of those songs.

Elvis Presley had recorded 18 released songs with Sun recordings, 2 other tapes were lost. He had left sun in 1955. His all songs with them are I Love You Because, That's All Right, Harbor Lights, Blue Moon of Kentucky, Blue Moon, Tomorrow Night, Satisfied, I'll Never Let You Go (Little Darlin'), I Don't Care If The Sun Don't Shine, Just Because, Good Rockin' Tonight, Milkcow Blues Boogie, You're a Heartbreaker, Baby Let's Play House, I Got a Woman, I'm Left, Trying To Get To You,You're Right, She's Gone, Mystery Train, I Forgot To Remember To Forget and When It Rains It Really Pours.

Others like "My Happiness" and "That's When Your Heartaches Begin" were kept private because he had recorded them for his mother, "I'll Never Stand In Your Way" and "It Wouldn't Be The Same Without You" were demo and "The Million Dollar Quartet" was session recording.

On august 1955, Sun studios had released ten sides which were credit to "Elvis Presley, Scotty and Bill". The Style of Presley was hard to categorize so some media had labelled him as "The Hillbilly Cat", "The Memphis Flash", "The King of Western Bop" and "Elvis the Pelvis". The name "Elvis the Pelvis" wasn't like by Elvis and he had called it "one of the most childish expressions I ever heard".

On 15 august 1955, Colonel Tom Parker became Elvis's manager. Several major record labels had shown there interest in singing Elvis, in the end of October 1955, three labels had offered up to $25,000. On November 21 1955, Elvis's manager and Philips negotiated one deal with RCA Victor to gain Elvis's Sun contract for an unauthorized $40,000, $5,000 of which was bonus for the singer for back there royalties owed to him by Sun Recordings, Elvis was of 20 that time, legally he was minor, so his father had signed the contract. On December 1955, RCA victor had heavily promoted there newest star "Elvis Presley", by the month's end they had released all of his Sun Recordings again.

April 14: "I Want You", "I Love You", "I need you" at RCA Studios, Nashville, TN.

July 2: "Hound Dog", "Any Way You Want Me (That's How I Will Be)", "Don't Be Cruel" at RCA Studios, New York, NY.

August 24: "We're Gonna Move", "Love Me Tender" in Stage 1, 20th Century Fox Studios, Hollywood, CA.

September 1: "Playing For Keeps", "Love Me", "How Do You Think I Feel", "How's The World Treating You" at Radio Recorders, Hollywood, CA.

September 2 : "When My Blue Moon Turns To Gold Again," "Long Tall Sally," "Old Shep," "Paralyzed," "Too Much," "Anyplace Is Paradise," at Radio Recorders, Hollywood, CA.

September 3: "Ready Teddy", "First In Line", "Rip It Up", at Radio Recorders, Hollywood, CA.

September 5: "Poor Boy", "Let Me", at Stage 1, 20th Century Fox Studios, Hollywood, CA.

He had many appearances in 1956, they can be found in whole site.

On 31 december edition of "The Wall Street Journal" reports that he has grossed $22 million in 1956.
