Elvis' Pets

Elvis Presley was great person again because he had also cared for animals, Caring for a human is ok but if someone cares for animals than its great! Nothing is better than that.

Elvis Presley always said "Dog is God spelled backwards!"

Elvis Presley loved dogs very much, he had got about dozen of dogs. Here are some info on his dogs:-

Edmund:- Edmund was a American Eskimo, it was most favorite pet of him till his death.

Baba:- Baba was a rough collie, it was gone to hollywood in 1966, you can see Baba with Elvis in the movie "Paradise : Hawaiian style".

Getlo:- Getlo was the female Chow Chow, She was suffering from serious kidney problem, Elvis spent thousands of dollars for saving her life but she died so young like her age was just 1 year.

Stuff:- Stuff was a black poodle, it was originally owned by Elvis's aunt Delta Mae, But Elvis become its owner soon.

Sweet Pea:- Sweet Pea was a cute Chihuahua, Celebs like Paris hilton, Madonna etc. has copied him on this. He had gifted Sweet Pea to his mother in 1956, After his mother's death he continue taking care of Sweet Pea.

Teddy Bear:- Teddy Bear was another poodle of him which was given by his fan when Elvis was in germany, when he was returned to US he had returned with Teddy Bear.

Sherlock:- Sherlock was basset hound, Elvis Presley had also sang "Hound dog" for Sherlock on stage.

Other dogs of him were German Shepherd, Brutus(Great Dane), Fox Hugh(Terrier), Snoopy(Great Dane), Honey, Muffin, Boy.

Except liking canines, he had also cared for Street dogs, If he had ever found any poor street dog, he picks it up and gives a place in his mansion.

He had also got two cats named, Fluff and Wendell.

Except liking show cats, he had also cared for Street cats, If he had ever found any poor street cat, he picks it up and gives a place in his mansion.

Except dogs and cats he had also owned other animals like donkeys, peacocks, guinea hens, ducks, turkeys, chickens, a chimpanzee, a monkey and mynah birds.

Elvis had also got about 10 great quality horses, Grace land was of 13.8 acres, small for that horses, So he had bought 157 acres of ranch for them, Elvis had bought 18 horses in whole life, He had gifted 8 of them to his Memphis Mafia group members.
